Bang, Big Bang,
What a crime!
Fullness shattered to smatterings,
rest blown to smithereens:
radiation, quarks, electrons, protons
fleeing the scene
shaking with fright
Who set the bomb off?
Scientists shrug their shoulders,
theologians accuse God.
How to arrest Him?
No one has seen him lately
where could he be?
Maybe at rest,
deep rest.
To be at peace
while tumbling in the dark,
that’s the trick!
